Job Summary
Manage and weigh ingredients formulated to make perfect animal feed, organizing and cleaning the micro room and associated warehouse while unloading incoming bulk trucks. Perform assigned housekeeping duties, cross-train in other production areas, and maintain strict attention to safety and quality to eliminate waste and create efficiencies. Ensure physical safety of self and co-workers while adhering to lifting requirements and personal protective equipment protocols. Work in environments with temperature variations and dust, following verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Age: 18 years or older
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one's co-workers at all times without exception
- Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
- Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
- Able to lift 55lbs
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
- Work in environments where dust is present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
- Basic computer skills
