Job Summary

Operate assembly equipment, start and shutdown machines, and monitor production while restocking materials and maintaining workstation cleanliness. Read work orders, perform visual quality audits, and troubleshoot issues such as repairing quick thread devices or removing nails. Pack products efficiently, minimize waste, and report quality problems to supervisors. Work in a fiberglass box manufacturing environment with moderate temperatures and potential exposure to dust, heat, or noise while wearing required PPE. Maintain regular attendance and complete performance reporting as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or one-year equivalent experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms
  • Must be able to complete process tags
  • Ability to generate reporting documents and participate in team meetings
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment
  • Good general ability with use of computer touch screens and written documents
  • Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must possess good dexterity skills
  • Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to stand while operating assembly equipment for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to walk
  • Must be able to use hands to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to reach and lift with hands and arms
  • Must be able to talk, see and hear
  • Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and pulling of parts
  • Must be able to work in various temperatures
  • Must be able to work in moderate or occasional presence of unfavorable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, noise, odor, chemicals, etc.
  • Must be able to work well with others and in a team atmosphere
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and work overtime as required
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and be an active participant in training
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Must be able to learn different equipment/operations and able to rotate to all work centers within the area
  • Must be able to pack products in an efficient manner
  • Must be able to consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals
  • Must be able to read & interpret work orders along with production schedule
  • Must be able to maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality audits per quality plans
  • Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting (such as repair quick thread device, dislodge nails, etc.)
  • Must be able to use hand tools, wrenches, hammer, screwdriver, pliers, utility knife, etc.
  • Must be able to maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation areas
  • Must be able to determine and report product quality issues to appropriate parties
  • Must be able to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, group leads and business unit managers
  • Must be able to documenting and submitting performance reporting as required
  • Must be able to gain knowledge and keeping up to date on safety and quality regulatory notices
  • Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures
  • Must be able to follow company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to start and shutdown machines and monitor their operations
  • Must be able to restocking materials as required
  • Must be able to perform repetitive work tasks
