Job Summary
Operate processing equipment such as grinders, conveyors, and shredders while monitoring material flow and adjusting machine settings to minimize downtime. Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance, then identify and report mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision. Maintain accurate production records for throughput and material tracking while strictly following safety policies including lockout/tagout and PPE use. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to become certified
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
