Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing operations while monitoring performance and addressing processing issues. Move, package, and inspect raw materials and finished goods, identifying and correcting defects to meet quality standards and production schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area while complying with all safety processes and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with management to accomplish daily work assignments in a fast-paced environment. This role supports Land O'Lakes' Purina Animal Nutrition business, innovating nutritional products for healthier, more productive animal lives.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- 1 year or more of work experience in any industry
- Basic computer and math skills
- Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
- Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Physical ability for frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Ability to work across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
- Ability to work in environments where dust is present
- Availability for shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
- Machine operation experience
- Forklift experience
