Job Summary

Start and shutdown machines, monitor operations, and restock materials while following all safety guidelines and PPE protocols. Rotate through all work centers, read work orders, and maintain visual quality audits on produced parts. Pack products efficiently, troubleshoot equipment issues like quick thread devices, and use hand tools to maximize productivity. Report product quality problems, document performance data, and maintain cleanliness of workstations. Work in a fiberglass box production environment with moderate physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or one-year equivalent experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms
  • Must be able to complete process tags
  • Ability to generate reporting documents and participate in team meetings
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment
  • Good general ability with use of computer touch screens and written documents
  • Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to stand while operating assembly equipment for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to walk
  • Must be able to use hands to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to reach and lift with hands and arms
  • Must be able to talk, see and hear
  • Must possess good dexterity skills
  • Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and pulling of parts
  • Must be able to work in various temperatures
  • Must be able to work well with others and in a team atmosphere
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and work overtime as required
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and be an active participant in training
  • Must be able to learn different equipment/operations and able to rotate to all work centers within the area
  • Ability to pack products in an efficient manner
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting (such as repair quick thread device, dislodge nails, etc.)
  • Ability to use hand tools, wrenches, hammer, screwdriver, pliers, utility knife, etc.
  • Must be able to maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation areas
  • Must be able to determine and report product quality issues to appropriate parties
  • Must be able to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, group leads and business unit managers
  • Must be able to document and submit performance reporting as required
  • Must be able to gain knowledge and keep up to date on safety and quality regulatory notices
  • Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures
  • Must be able to start and shutdown machines and monitor their operations
  • Must be able to restock materials as required
  • Must be able to consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals
  • Must be able to read & interpret work orders along with production schedule
  • Must be able to maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality audits per quality plans
  • Must be able to target reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labor)
