Job Summary
This position involves accurately weighing and packing orders, operating scales, pumps, filters, and computer systems in a manufacturing setting. The Production Operator will work full time on the 2nd shift for a Fortune 500 company with potential for permanent hire based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years’ experience in a chemical, food, or perfumery manufacturing facility
- Minimum two years’ experience mixing and handling chemicals against a recipe
- Must pass respirator fit test as required by OSHA
- Ability to stand 60–90% of the day
- Ability to frequently lift, move, pull, and push up to 50 lbs
- Required to wear PPE
- Ability to work in a facility with limited temperature control
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- Ability to operate a forklift
