Job Summary
Production Operator 1 at Johns Manville Bremen facility responsible for operating and troubleshooting the production line, reading schedules and product specs, ensuring quality and safety standards, and training others. Key duties include reading HMIS and MSDS labels, following production schedules and quality specs, performing lockout/tagout procedures, maintaining cleanliness, counting and adjusting laminators, cross-cut and trim saw setup, running QA core tests, and communicating issues via radio. Must have at least one year of warehouse/production experience, be able to read a tape measure, perform basic math, use a computer (MS Office), wear PPE, stand for long periods, lift 20-50 lbs, and be able to work overtime. Required Qualifications
- At least one year working in a warehouse/production environment
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- General math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to work overtime and flexible schedule
- Must be able to wear PPE (goggles, face shield, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20-50 lbs
- Ability to train new employees (production level 1)
- Understanding of root cause corrective action process
