Job Summary
Carry out mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of equipment in accordance with work instructions, verify components match job parts lists, and prepare completed equipment for dispatch. Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements while reporting discrepancies to the Production Management team. Load and unload vehicles as required and support site-based installation activities across the UK. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver products efficiently and maintain housekeeping standards. This role supports the Production team at Galliford Try, a leading principal contractor with an order book exceeding £4.3 billion. Required Qualifications
- The ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience in a similar production, assembly, or electrical role
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A positive approach to problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities or specifications
- The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- A commitment to fostering a respectful workplace that values inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
- City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Qualification to the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
Desired Qualifications
