Production / Operations Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage all production operations at the West Virginia facility, including planning, scheduling, and execution of production campaigns; oversee batch and continuous processes, unit operations (e.g., distillation, filtration, crystallization, drying, mixing) and equipment maintenance; drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality; ensure safety, environmental compliance (OSHA, EPA); manage production budgets, inventory, and raw material procurement; develop and implement robust quality control systems; mentor a high-performing production team; collaborate with R&D, engineering, maintenance, and logistics to achieve operational excellence; stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in the Fine Chemical or Petrochemical industry with emphasis on complex operations involving batch and continuous processes
- Deep understanding of chemical manufacturing principles, including reaction engineering, unit operations, and process control
- Experience with safety management systems, quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing), and environmental regulations
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO, or PMP) are highly valued
