Production Material Handler (Water Spider) - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Put away finished product correctly and keep presses stocked with totes and skids. Perform housekeeping duties in conformance with the Housekeeping Verification, ensuring the front wall, front aisle, and back aisle remain clear. Remove all stock, packaging, and assembly equipment from the press during mold changes and keep returnable lids picked up. Follow and enforce safety standards for operations while managing multiple tasks. Operate a forklift truck or pallet jack regularly in an indoor manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to extreme heat and vibration. Work the 2nd shift, legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to use hands to touch, handle, or feel
- Ability to frequently drive a forklift truck or operate a pallet jack
- Ability to frequently walk and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally sit and talk or hear
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, demonstrate depth perception and have good hand –eye coordination
- Ability to not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery
- Ability to occasionally be exposed to extreme heat and vibration
- Ability to work outside for short periods of time
