Job Summary
The Production Material Handler role focuses on ensuring a smooth flow of materials to the production line by delivering materials, parts, and tools exactly when needed. Key duties include maintaining standardized routes and schedules, transacting inventory movements in the ERP system for material accuracy, preparing for upcoming jobs by verifying material availability, identifying shortages or delays, following defined routes to support material flow, removing waste, and assisting in cycle counts or physical inventories. Strong emphasis on organization, time-management in a fast-moving environment, clear communication with operators, supervisors, and warehouse staff, and basic ERP experience are required. The position is on the production floor with hands-on material handling responsibilities and may involve other assigned tasks from management.
Required Qualifications
- Organized and detail-oriented with material handling tasks
- Able to manage time and priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Performs frequent material handling and movement on the production floor
- Comfortable working on the production floor and moving materials throughout the shift
- Communicates clearly with operators, supervisors, and warehouse staff
- Basic experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred
- Team-focused and adaptable as priorities change
- Organized- keeps the workspace neat and materials sorted
