Production Material Handler - 1st shift

Job Summary
Draw necessary materials from stock, prepare items if needed, and furnish them to operators within the department. Survey material needs of the production line, schedule withdrawals, and move in-process products between workstations. Assist the supervisor in increasing line efficiency by ensuring materials are in place promptly, managing orders through the line in proper sequence, and occasionally breaking material banks or operating key machines during operator breaks. Run queries on the computer to determine manufacturing priorities and learn to use in-house developed software. Report any discrepancies in line specifications to the supervisor. This 1st shift role (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm) at Vishay Dale Electronics in East Windsor, CT, requires a high school diploma, one to three months of experience, and completion of hazardous waste and emergency contingency training.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three months to one year experience
- Initial hazardous waste management procedures (RCRA) training within six months of the appointment of position dealing with hazardous waste and subsequent annual refresher thereafter
- Initial emergency contingency plan implementation training within six months of the appointment of position dealing with hazardous waste and subsequent annual refresher thereafter
- Qualify as 'U.S. Persons' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
