Job Summary
Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations in a highly automated wire and cable facility in Baltimore, MD. Focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement across extrusion, stranding, jacketing, and related processes; manage production planning, staffing, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics; drive Lean initiatives, optimize OEE, and uphold customer specifications and ISO standards; oversee implementation of ERP/MRP systems and contribute to long-term plant performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Prior experience within the wire and cable manufacturing industry strongly preferred
- Experience with cable manufacturing processes, continuous production environments, or highly automated industrial production environments preferred
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing production teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, KPI management, and operational performance improvement
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization principles
- Understanding of quality management systems, ISO standards, and manufacturing best practices
- Experience monitoring and improving OEE, scrap reduction, throughput, and production efficiency metrics
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience managing budgets, labor performance, and production costs
- Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
