Job Summary
Assist Plant Manager in directing production, distribution, and operations; implement manufacturing operations plans addressing costs, safety, quality, delivery, and capital improvements; ensure budget guidance and routine budget reviews; supervise exempt/non-exempt staff, conduct evaluations, and participate in hiring; drive safety program participation and employee development; coordinate manufacturing activities with other functions and suppliers to optimize resource utilization; provide data and reports on production, inventory, and performance; ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience in wood products and other manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple demands
- Experience with manufacturing, quality control, safety, and production processes
- Strong leadership, planning, communication, and people-management skills
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software
