Job Summary
Production Manager for a bakery operations role focused on supervising daily bakery production to ensure safety, quality, labor, and production goals are met. Leads and coaches the production team, ensures GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, monitors product quality, collaborates with Maintenance, QA, Sanitation, and other departments to resolve issues, and supports training, shift documentation, labor reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. Requires strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to changing production needs; 2+ years in production/manufacturing (bakery/food) preferred and a High School diploma or GED is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, bakery, or food manufacturing environment
- Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory experience in a production environment preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume food manufacturing or bakery environment preferred
- Experience with production reporting, labor tracking, inventory support, downtime tracking, or quality documentation preferred
- FSMA or PCQI certification a plus, but not required
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure a plus
- Experience with ERP systems, production management software, inventory systems, or operational reporting tools preferred
