Job Summary
Production Manager SE manages budgets, staffing, performance appraisals, and continuous improvement across the plant. Responsible for staffing, timekeeping, feedback, development, and corrective actions, and for guiding Supervisors, Leads, and Coordinators. Leads departmental performance measurement with visual controls and regular progress reporting to Plant Superintendent/Manager; ensures safety, cleanliness, and compliance; coordinates with maintenance for non-scheduled maintenance and equipment needs; travels as required by customer needs; drives improvement initiatives and manages multi-million-dollar equipment with outside contractors. 10% office time and 90% on the production floor; strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills are required, along with the ability to train others and maintain confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory management experience in manufacturing environment
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to design, administers, track and enhance complex programs
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of production tools and equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
