Job Summary
Lead three or more production work centers to achieve safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals. Monitor performance across multiple manufacturing disciplines, enforce operational discipline, and develop personnel to meet forecasts. Drive safety, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives while applying corrective and preventive action (CAPA) best practices to address operational issues. Manage manufacturing-driven projects and cross-functional initiatives based on data analysis, partnering with Engineering to resolve design issues and minimize disruptions. Analyze production data to prepare reports on performance versus goals and communicate risks to leadership. Ensure compliance with Methods of Manufacture and assembly instructions. This role requires Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification, proficiency in ERP systems, and experience with electrical switchgear or power generation equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certified, or actively pursuing
- Proficient in ERP systems used in manufacturing environments (IFS, SAP, Oracle)
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, operational manuals, safety rules, and standardized work instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production scheduling software
- Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate different business needs
- This position is on-site 5 days per week
- Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- preferably in the assembly of electrical switchgear and/or power generation equipment
- Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical switchgear and/or electrical power generation equipment
- IFS, SAP, Oracle preferred
- Experience with electrical switchgear and/or electrical power generation equipment strongly preferred
