Job Summary
Oversee production on the second shift, ensuring quality aspects of commissary operations, including HACCP procedures and certifications, meet company standards and local, state, and federal safety requirements. Conduct periodic team member safety audits, inspections of work areas, and process operations to ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Manage production, storage, inventory, and distribution processes while maintaining staffing levels and reporting daily consumption and output levels. Lead hands-on training for PIT operation, confined space safety, and other practical skills to support team member development. Work 10-hour weekday shifts starting at noon with schedule flexibility in warm and cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in a manufacturing production management position
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with production and warehouse administration functions including ERP and MRP systems and inventory controls
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization capability while holding self and others accountable
- Project management skills that include leading change
- Strong presentation and executive engagement skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- SQF (Safe Quality Foods)
- Other GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ Experience working in a USDA/FDA manufacturing plant preferred with familiarity of USDA/FDA requirements
- Experience understanding and implementing cost controls
- Some knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting
- One or more of the following certificates/credentials are preferred: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) SQF (Safe Quality Foods) Other GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative)
