Job Summary
Group Coach (Production Manager) for Paint Line overseeing multiple teams in a Miamisburg, OH manufacturing environment. Own daily safety, quality, delivery, and standard work performance across groups; align standard work and takt time; lead tiered management routines; monitor flow and constraints; reinforce 5S and safety standards; address escalated issues; support Team Coaches with real-time problem response using TPS principles; ensure problems are addressed at the lowest capable level; remove systemic obstacles; coach and develop Team Coaches; conduct gemba walks focused on coaching; set leadership expectations; model TPS leadership and lead cross-team problem-solving; ensure root causes and countermeasures are effective and sustained; drive learning and share best practices; balance continuous improvement with daily execution; own training systems and readiness; ensure coverage, skill depth, and cross-training; identify leadership and technical gaps; support onboarding, development, and succession planning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience leading operations in manufacturing, construction, or field execution environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop frontline leaders through coaching
- Strong systems-level understanding of safety, quality, delivery, and standard work
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams in fast-paced, problem-rich environments
- Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Production System concepts, Preferred
- Prior experience leading frontline leaders (Team Leads, Coaches, Supervisors)
- Advanced familiarity with standard work, visual management, and structured problem-solving, Preferred
- Experience operating in high-growth or operationally complex environments, Preferred
