Job Summary
Oversee and manage optimization of manufacturing efficiencies in the Oceanside facility to manufacture high-quality medical components at optimum cost. Plan and coordinate production activities to obtain optimum utilization of personnel, direct materials, and equipment while minimizing downtimes. Lead, manage, and coach the production team to achieve high performance, providing timely feedback and annual reviews. Drive measurable process improvements through hands-on application of Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies, championing Kaizen projects and acting as a change champion. Collaborate closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functional areas to resolve employee-related matters and manage operational priorities. This onsite role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5-7 years in manufacturing, specifically within the Medical Device Industry. Salary range is $95,000-$115,000.
Required Qualifications
- Associates' or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably servicing the Medical Device Industry
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity/role
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver measurable improvements in throughput, cost, quality, safety, and overall operational performance
- Working practical knowledge in progressive management technologies such as Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, and ERP
- Demonstrated Continuous Improvement (CI) experience with hands-on application of Lean, Six Sigma, and the DMAIC methodology
- Strong understanding of safety regulations (OSHA), quality systems such as ISO, and operational KPI management including OEE, FPY, and OTD
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Familiarity with IFS ERP
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the site
- Prolonged periods of sitting at work working on computers
- Occasionally lift o 25 pounds at a time
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity to inspect products and machinery
