Job Summary
Lead a team of production operators at the Augusta, Georgia site while driving safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Manage production planning, manufacturing schedules, budgets, and inventories to meet customer demand, ensuring reliable plant operations through the Operation Asset Management (OAM) process. Coach staff, troubleshoot process issues on the floor, and optimize equipment effectiveness and key operational KPIs. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Technical teams to enhance manufacturing performance and reliability. Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team supporting strategic planning and process safety initiatives. This permanent, full-time role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and experience in chemical process manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related engineering discipline
- Experience leading production operations within a chemical or process manufacturing environment
- Strong technical understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, reactors, process equipment, production parameters, and manufacturing troubleshooting
- Experience optimizing plant performance through continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, DeltaV, Microsoft Office, or similar production reporting tools
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, process safety, Lean Manufacturing, and project management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Operation Asset Management (OAM) or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs
- Experience working with Management of Change (MOC), Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS), and CAPA processes
- Experience leading plant shutdowns, maintenance planning, and cross-functional manufacturing projects
