Job Summary
Production Manager leads day-to-day plant production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. Partners with plant leadership to drive KPIs, enforce Lean/6S, resolve scheduling and production challenges, and develop supervisory talent. Responsibilities include overseeing daily production, monitoring KPIs, correcting issues in real time, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring GMPs and regulatory compliance. Cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse is required; maintains accurate reporting on production, labor, attendance, and KPI metrics; supervises production supervisors and frontline associates. Requires 5+ years in food manufacturing with supervisory responsibility and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; bilingual Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or confectionery production with supervisory responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and Lean/6S initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math proficiency.
- Ability to work extended periods on the production floor and flexible scheduling.
