Job Summary
Group Coach (Production Manager) oversees multiple teams in a manufacturing environment, driving safety, quality, delivery, and standard work under Toyota Production System principles. Responsible for developing Team Coaches, removing systemic barriers, and guiding cross-team problem-solving and continuous improvement. Key duties include leading daily/weekly management routines, ensuring takt time alignment, conducting gemba-focused coaching, reinforcing 5S and safety standards, validating countermeasures, coordinating training and succession planning, and maintaining staffing and cross-training plans to sustain capable leaders and robust operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience leading operations in manufacturing, construction, or field execution environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop frontline leaders through coaching
- Strong systems-level understanding of safety, quality, delivery, and standard work
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams in fast-paced, problem-rich environments
- Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Production System concepts, Preferred
- Prior experience leading frontline leaders (Team Leads, Coaches, Supervisors)
- Advanced familiarity with standard work, visual management, and structured problem-solving, Preferred
- Experience operating in high-growth or operationally complex environments, Preferred
