Job Summary
Lead daily manufacturing operations for the assembly and test teams, managing material preparation through shipment while overseeing Production Supervisors and Production Controls. Ensure the facility meets standards for safety, quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction by conducting daily production audits, monthly ISO quality audits, and tracking facility metrics. Execute talent upgrades, lead onboarding, and implement continuous improvement processes including Lean principles, footprint optimization, and equipment upgrades. Manage production scheduling, capacity planning, work order release, and resource allocation to maximize output. Coordinate with supply chain for material availability, resolve customer quality issues, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Perform performance reviews for direct and indirect reports, ensuring all necessary training is completed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Management experience
- Experience working with cable or cable harness assemblies
- Experience with production planning and scheduling
- Strong supervisory skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with operations management
- Ability to quickly learn the facility's manufacturing procedures
- Working knowledge of ERP and other supply chain systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Demonstrated experience motivating teams
- Ability to meet productivity standards
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
