Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities within the facility, including supervision of direct reports, ensuring safety training, and maintaining compliance with SQF standards. Key responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals of staff, managing operations to maximize manufacturing efficiencies, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have significant manufacturing experience, a background in managing production processes, and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least five years in a leadership capacity
- Manufacturing experience required with a background in equipment operation and maintenance
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred
- Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma principles and projects via training, participation, or sponsorship preferred
- Experience in plastics thermoforming, injection molding, compression molding, or similar industry preferred
