Job Summary
Lead, plan, and execute all Fabrication operations while developing and tracking performance metrics to ensure throughput, yield, and scrap reduction meet budgeted levels. Ensure employee safety through training and strict adherence to regulations, maintaining high housekeeping standards and product quality against customer specifications. Direct problem-solving using the Pilkington 8 step model and manage a team of 3 salaried members within a facility of 250 indirect reports. Liaise with external customers to monitor glass flow and shipment accuracy, escalating risks as needed. Coordinate with contractors to enforce quality and safety standards while promoting environmental compliance. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3 years of manufacturing management experience, and Six Sigma Black Belt training. Based full-time at the Shelbyville, IN facility with flexible day shift hours from 7am-9am.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/University degree in business or technically related field
- Proven ability to adapt communication style to interact with diverse groups
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Minimum 3 years of experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated strengths in results orientation, adaptability, standards discipline, employee development, influence, and communication
- Automotive Glass Experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt training
- Strong in analytical, innovative and strategic problem-solving abilities
