Job Summary
Production Manager at Active Minerals International (Quincy, FL) responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Lead production supervisors and teams to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets; ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; promote a strong safety culture; monitor efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization; collaborate with logistics, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to maintain uninterrupted production flow; ensure adherence to QMS/ISO standards; analyze production data and KPIs; drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination; support capital projects and equipment commissioning; manage staffing, training, and cross-training; participate in root cause analysis, CAPAs, and audits; enforce policies and labor guidelines; partner with HR on employee relations, evaluations, and corrective actions; foster teamwork and accountability and support operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and performance metrics
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with ERP or manufacturing management systems
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment
