Job Summary
Lead daily production operations across assigned departments to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. Translate site and business goals into clear production plans, priorities, and resource allocations; optimize capacity by balancing labor, equipment, and materials; champion a zero-incident safety culture; drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and KPI-driven continuous improvement; develop and lead production and engineering teams through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning; oversee process engineering, troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and readiness for production support; collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and HR to remove constraints and support new products and process improvements; manage budgets and resources with strong cost accountability; communicate performance and risks to site leadership; requires Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 5+ years leadership experience, ERP/MES proficiency, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and ability to obtain/maintain DOD security clearance; on-site role in Amesbury, MA with strict U.S. citizenship requirements due to government contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent technical experience)
- 5+ years of leadership and people management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead teams and foster a positive, collaborative environment
- Demonstrated experience ensuring adherence to HR policies and maintaining full compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Experience leading multiple departments or product lines in a technical environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MES systems, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
