Job Summary
Drive, improve, and monitor companywide KPIs including safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Research daily reports to analyze efficiency and scrap rates, then administer 8D problem solving and standardized work lists to resolve issues. Lead the production team through daily two-way communication, coaching, and performance appraisals while ensuring compliance with all policies and values. Foster a safety-first culture by conducting layered process audits, analyzing near-miss data, and enforcing regulations. Manage inventory variances, facilitate communication between shipping and production, and verify payroll compliance. Maintain complete security of company information and investigate employee concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of managing experience in a manufacturing environment
- preferably with metals
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as excel, and crystal reports
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference
- ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Forklift License
- certified as a crane operator
- forklift and power lock out procedures mastered
- Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
