Job Summary
Monitor QAP companywide KPIs including safety, quality, cost, and delivery while researching daily and weekly reports to drive continuous improvement. Lead 8D problem solving and standardized work lists to resolve production variances and inventory issues, ensuring top-quality parts meet customer demands. Administer employee training, enforce safety policies through layered process audits, and facilitate communication between production, shipping, and management departments. Maintain daily two-way team communication, conduct performance appraisals, and assign corrective actions to uphold mission values. Complete required paperwork, verify payroll compliance, and attend monthly safety committee meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of managing experience in a manufacturing environment
- experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with metals
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as excel, and crystal reports
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference
- ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Forklift License
- certified as a crane operator
- forklift and power lock out procedures mastered
- Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
