Production Manager (Full Time - Salary)

Job Summary
Oversee all pullet and layer flocks to ensure best care, manage contract farmers, and coordinate the Flock Service Team for service, vaccination, chick placements, lighting, and routine testing. Improve product quality, consistency, and cost while monitoring flock performance, developing flock plans, and managing feed formulations and vaccine schedules. Serve as the primary contact for Sanofi Q.C. audits, FDA compliance, and customer/supplier interactions, ensuring all operations meet Sanofi and MLA policies. Audit owned flocks quarterly, review invoices, and manage employee leave and performance issues. Be available on-call for emergency flock network needs and participate in HPAI scenario planning, industry roundtables, and PA Poultry Council work. Obtain a Pesticide Applicator's License and maintain a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 5 years poultry and animal production experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License
- PA Certified Poultry Technician license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) and other computer programs as needed

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, production reports or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or producers
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to convert between metric and imperial (US) units of measure
