Job Summary
Production Manager responsible for the production of multiple processes/lines (SMT, Wave, assembly, burn-in & test, packing) in a highly technical manufacturing environment. Leads a team including production supervisors and engineers/officers to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness targets. Analyzes plant operating performance, identifies improvement opportunities, troubleshoots issues, coaches operators, and develops proposals with engineers to drive process improvements and cost reductions. Provides technical and operational guidance to project teams and may act as the principal interface between operations and maintenance. Manages production scheduling based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply, participates in process development and cost-improvement projects, and supports department budgeting. Ensures safety, training, and certification for manufacturing personnel and compliance with established policies. The role is based in Prai, Penang, Malaysia, and requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with substantial operations experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to production and manufacturing or engineering
- 8 years of operations experience
- Ensure that manufacturing personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines
