Production Manager

Job Summary

Lead client engagements from kickoff through closeout by serving as the primary day-to-day contact, managing project plans, schedules, and budgets in Planview, and facilitating change management processes. Coordinate cross-functional teams across Instructional Design, Creative, Development, Quality Assurance, and Learning Strategy to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery. Monitor project progress, adjust schedules as needed, and identify risks while managing expectations throughout the lifecycle. Manage federal, state, local government, and education contracts by preparing monthly status reports, maintaining integrated project schedules, and conducting onsite visits to government and military installations. Deliver projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring all required reviews and audit compliance are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proven experience managing projects or production within the learning and development industry
  • Working knowledge of instructional design principles and eLearning production workflows
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience using project management software and collaboration tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years managing projects under U.S. Government contracts as either a prime contractor or subcontractor
  • Experience producing recurring government deliverables, including monthly status reports, integrated schedules, and executive briefings
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar scheduling tools to develop and maintain Gantt charts
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%, including visits to customer sites and military installations

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus
  • Located in Texas, New Mexico, or Oklahoma
  • Active (or recently active) Secret Security Clearance or higher
  • Military service or prior experience as a U.S. Government civilian
  • Experience supporting federal learning and development programs
