Job Summary
Manage production and sanitation operations by developing goals based on customer needs, completing daily statistical reports, and ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices are followed. Coordinate team activities, assign job tasks, coach underperforming members, and conduct daily five-minute meetings to address safety and performance. Oversee vendor interactions for supply ordering and ingredient verification, while troubleshooting dough issues and conducting required test bakes. Maintain cost controls, prepare budgets, and submit work orders for equipment maintenance. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (hours may vary); Compensation: $105,000-$115,000 plus 15% team bonus. Requires Bachelor's degree in distribution/manufacturing or equivalent experience; bilingual ability preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree emphasizing distribution, manufacturing, and warehouse
- 3-5 years of production, manufacturing, or retail experience
- strong knowledge of bakery procedures
- basic knowledge of food safety programs
- Proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives
- Results-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skills
- Ability to work a full-time/flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proven experience in quality and safety
- Willingness to support a 24-hour operation and be on call, including carrying an emergency cell phone as needed
- Must successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date
- Availability to travel by air, as needed
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures [33-38 degrees]
- Ability to work in environments exposed to loud machinery
- Ability to work around yeast and flour
Desired Qualifications
- some college plus equivalent work experience
- Preferably in the food, warehouse, manufacturing, or retail industry
- Bilingual
- Working knowledge of AIB or HACCP practices or certification
- Proven experience in quality and safety
