Job Summary
Ensure production targets in Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity by managing KPIs like OEE, scrap rates, and operational efficiency. Lead and develop shift supervisors and team leaders while driving continuous improvement through Root Cause Analysis and digital transformation initiatives using MES and operational dashboards. Integrate sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource use into daily decisions, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Promote cross-functional collaboration and guide organizational change processes to maintain high team engagement. This permanent role in Filago requires a Chemical Engineering degree, five years of production management experience, and near-native Italian proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Management Engineering) or has equivalent technical experience
- At least 5 years in production management within complex manufacturing environments
- Direct experience leading operational staff, supervisors and shift-based or continuous cycle operations
- Solid background in KPI management (OEE, productivity, quality, scrap), production planning and Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence methodologies
- Experience with digital production support systems (MES, data platforms, operational dashboards)
- Ability to drive digital transformation and process simplification initiatives
- Near-native proficiency in Italian
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Ability to develop supervisors and team leaders
- Ability to manage performance and foster accountability and professional growth
- Experience leading organisational change and cultural transformations
- Ability to create collaborative and results-oriented environments
