Job Summary
Production Manager — Automation: Lead operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art automated manufacturing systems designed for home construction. Collaborate with manufacturing technology and operational excellence groups to align with the local production team, manage and run component-level automation, and drive continuous improvements to quality and throughput. Responsibilities include leading daily production schedules, staffing, infrastructure and facilities support, inventory management, inbound/outbound material coordination, capital budgeting, procurement, vendor invoice processing, coordinating with OEM suppliers via remote access, and ensuring adherence to budgets and POs to deliver on-time, quality products.
Required Qualifications
- S. in Mfg Technology
- B.A. in Business or 10+ years of industrial experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
- Basic experience with automated systems
- Familiarity with automation production lines used in high-volume manufacturing
- Experienced in department budget management
- Ability to interface with regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation and Management
- Managing/Scheduling/Developing Human Resources
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Operations of shop equipment to include hand tools and fork trucks
