Job Summary
Production Manager responsible for overall production operations at a building materials facility, overseeing finished product production, scheduling, process improvements, and equipment utilization. Leads production staff, manages safety/compliance with health, safety, and environmental programs, partners with the Technical Manager on quality control and customer relations, drives cost control and operational efficiency, collaborates with accounting on production reporting, and develops the production team through recruitment, performance management, and discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication and written/oral presentation skills
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex scientific/technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to prepare reports and present to top management
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts; basic algebra and geometry
- Travel up to 10%
