Job Summary
Manage production and assembly of personal care products while overseeing supervisors, line leads, and associates to ensure daily operational flow and schedule adherence. Mentor staff, monitor key performance indicators, and track unit budget compliance. Coordinate with scheduling and sales teams regarding fill schedule changes and new product launches. Ensure a safe, injury-free environment by implementing lean manufacturing methods and cost-saving measures through proper personnel training. Assist the Senior Production Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 5 to 10 years of experience is preferred
- Five years of experience managing a large group in a production/assembly work environment
- Ability to learn and navigate an MRP/ERP system
- Knowledge of KPIs as they relate to industry standards
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions while considering all internal and external customer requirements
- Great communication skills with all levels of employees and management
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of Supervisors, Coordinators, Leads, Production Associates, temporary employees, and Mechanics to achieve daily, monthly, and yearly goals
- Understanding of how to read and navigate an open order report
- Physically able to lift 50 pounds
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly
- Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical, chemicals, and vibrations
- Frequent use of computer screen
