Job Summary
Production Manager responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, coordinating production schedules, ensuring quality targets, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor. Role emphasizes aligning production with project timelines, transitioning designs to production, maintaining safety and EHS standards, and leveraging Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and reduce defects. Requires deep experience in manufacturing operations, familiarity with DoD/government contracting, MRP systems (Costpoint preferred), IPC-A-610/J-STD-001, ISO-9001, and strong leadership to mentor supervisors and deliver on-time, within-budget results.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of experience in operations management in a supervisory role
- Experience with MRP systems; Costpoint preferred
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001; ISO-9001 knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with DoD/DoW environment including MIL-STDs, FAR, DFAR, and government contracting
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- BS or BA in manufacturing or engineering, or relevant experience in manufacturing operations management
