Job Summary
Monitor production efficiency and implement work method changes to reduce expenses. Lead, train, and supervise production staff while overseeing new hire onboarding and ongoing departmental training. Consult with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure smooth plant operations. Execute company production policies and set standards for quality, housekeeping, and safety. Create and adhere to department budgets while managing hiring, discipline, and employee relations. Drive labor utilization improvements and maintain adherence to production procedures. Occasionally travel to visit customers or attend training meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment
- Strong supervisory and management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff
- Ability to recognize colors, sizes and types of product
- Ability to count, add and subtract accurately
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to comprehend and follow direction
- Good time management skills
- Team player
- High School graduation or similar experience
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to move loaded carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
