Production Manager - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Lead direct and indirect labor employees in manufacturing a process area while managing personnel, equipment, and materials to achieve work schedules and satisfy customer requirements. Monitor alignment of product lines with master production schedules, ensure work orders are closed in Oracle, and provide direction in resolving technical and production-related problems. Supervise over 40 associates, facilitate continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events, and provide leadership in hiring, performance management, and coaching. Participate in customer-facing activities such as SIOP and MOR, and remain flexible to perform other functions as required. Backup to the Operations Manager when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates, Bachelor Degree in Operations/Engineering or Business
- Demonstrated product and assembly or machine shop experience and knowledge
- minimum of 5+ years in a supervisory or lead role capacity
- Demonstrated effective communication and leadership skills
- strong ability to work cooperatively with others in a team-based environment
- communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Performs basic arithmetic calculations
- Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Finger dexterity- the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small components
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
- Extended periods of bending, lifting, sitting and standing
- Significant use of hands
- Occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Protective eyewear
- Protective gowning (i.e: Hairnet, Safety Shoes covers, Gown/Apron, Safety Glasses, gloves)
