Job Summary
Conduct proactive machine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive service on high-speed production equipment to ensure optimum productivity. Share setup responsibilities with operators for scheduled production runs and perform emergency or unscheduled repairs during production hours. Read and interpret equipment manuals, job tickets, and work orders to execute required maintenance tasks while complying with OSHA safety rules. Operate PC systems and assist with on-line changeovers, break relief, and lunch shifts as production needs arise. Perform repetitive motions, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills with English fluency and MS Office proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in mailing, packing machines/production machines
- Technical knowledge of high-speed production equipment, mechanical/electrical equipment
- Production maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong conflict / issue resolution skills with a strong aptitude for decision-making
- English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
- Proficient with internet research, MS Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to operate a PC
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Must become knowledgeable with operating system computers on each production machine
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
- Focus on safety and urgency while supporting production
