Job Summary
Machinist A role focused on machining and fitting metal parts with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, operating machines and performing machining operations with close tolerances, and determining tooling selection and operation sequences. Successful candidates will have experience and trade skills in machine shop practices, including operating CNC machines. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications, including completion of an accredited vocational program and significant experience in machining.
Required Qualifications
- Two years vocational/accredited school graduate or equivalent
- Three years of machining experience
- Knowledge of machining practices and techniques
- Basic mechanical principles and shop mathematics
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machines
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals
