Job Summary
Operate CNC mills, lathes, and high-precision industrial metal-cutting equipment while following documented processes and maintaining best safety practices. Produce parts within required tolerances and ensure a high degree of quality through accurate paperwork and housekeeping of the work area. Support other teams and assist with loading/unloading materials using forklifts or overhead cranes. Maintain accurate records and adhere to proper PPE use. This role requires a high school diploma, basic mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn machine safety procedures and CNC controls.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning industrial machinery
- Willingness to learn machine safety procedures and proper PPE use
- Ability to use simple measuring tools (tape measure, ruler) or willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate cuts
- Ability to work safely around large materials and moving equipment
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and reading dimensions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
- Must produce parts within required tolerances
- Follow documented processes
- Maintain a high degree of quality
- Function as a team member and support other teams
- Housekeeping/maintenance of work area and machinery
- Employment at Wagstaff is dependent on successfully passing a company-paid drug screening and background check upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Exposure to hand tools or basic shop tools
- Familiarity with reading simple work orders or production sheet
- Interest in learning CNC controls and automated equipment
