Production Machine Operator on First Shift

Job Summary
Conduct bottle-filling assemblies, label, pack, and load grouped orders onto pallets while following Production Work Tickets and maintaining accurate inventory via a computerized warehouse management system. Gather raw materials, set up production lines, and perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line, report defective materials to the supervisor, and document performance using SFC and QC worksheets. Utilize material handling equipment safely, complete tasks with minimum supervision, and attend scheduled safety, compliance, and departmental meetings. Work Mon-Fri 5:00 am to 3:30 pm in a warehouse environment with extreme heat, lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally and pushing drums weighing up to 400 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year of related production line experience
- 1 year of forklift operator experience
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to read, communicate, and understand written instructions
- Ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull drums weighing up to 400 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work flexible hours or weekends
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Basic mathematical abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Inventory Management System (JDE)
- Ability to work in extreme heat (>80 degrees)
- Ability to wear safety eye glasses and safety steel-toe shoes
