Job Summary
Operate, calibrate, and maintain production machines to manufacture lead-acid batteries by monitoring automated and manual machinery with technical precision. Read product specifications to adjust machines and load materials, then observe operations to detect defects or malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and complete changeovers while conducting quality checks and documenting outputs. Assist in stacking, marking, and transporting finished parts using electric pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize performance while strictly following safety protocols. Work 8-hour shifts on the second or third shift, with wages ranging from $24 to $28 per hour plus production bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial production machinery (e.g., CNC, injection molding, metal stamping)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and basic math skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machinery
- Ability to take and read measurements
- Basic computer skills (ability to interact with computer screens)
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds safely and efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Safety-conscious and detail-driven mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
