Production Line Worker

Production Line Worker to operate in Smith-Blair, a Xylem brand, manufacturing roles including assembly lines, machine operators, material handlers, and fabricators. Must be a team player with strong communication, apply Lean Manufacturing Principles (5's, single piece flow, KanBan), possess general knowledge of Smith-Blair’s saddle fittings manufacturing process, and be capable of manually assembling and packing full circle and pipe repair couplings. Must be able to operate manual and pneumatic hand tools, perform repetitive assembly with accurate quality, and be willing to learn all skills within the steel fabrication manufacturing work cell. May rotate to other functions, and must work extended hours to meet customer demands. Self-inspection, maintaining clean work area, and adhering to safety procedures are required. Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities. Education: High School Diploma or GED required; manufacturing/production experience and forklift operation experience are desired but not required. Physical demands include 11-35 lbs lifting, standing, and frequent movement within a large industrial facility. Standard weekly hours are 40; overtime can be frequent based on seasonal workload.
