Production Line Worker - Saddles

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• •Must be a team player
• •exhibits excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• •motivated to work in a highly participative environment
• •understand and believe in the Lean Manufacturing Principles (5's, single piece flow, KanBan, etc.)
• •Must have general overall knowledge of Smith-Blair's Saddle Fittings product manufacturing process
• •Must be capable of manually assembling and packing full circle and pipe repair couplings
• •Must be capable of operating manual and pneumatic hand tools
• •Must be proficient at operations requiring continual eye-hand coordination for manual repetitive operations to correctly assemble parts to meet established standards
• •Will be required to learn all skills within the steel fabrication manufacturing work cell
• •Must be capable of working extended hours to meet customer demands
• •May be required to rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by their supervisor
• •Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• •Must self-inspect their products to maintain quality and quantity standards
• •Must keep work area clean and orderly and maintain proper care of equipment
• •Must perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor
• •Must be willing to participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
• •Must be able to moderate lift (11-35 lbs.)
• •Must be able to moderate lift/push (11-35 lbs.)
• •Must be regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move/walk throughout the facility
• •Must be regularly required to listen, talk to, and see co-workers and managers on a daily basis
