Job Summary
Conduct daily line start-up checks, safety inspections with x-rays, and hourly CCP checks before production begins. Perform quality checks on labels, dates, foil, packaging, and printing per specifications. Calibrate probes and scales, collect required items per job sheets, and complete all production documentation for QA inspection. Assist the production team leader and QA team as requested. Manage and support a small team by ensuring company processes (SOPs) are followed to maintain a food and people safe environment. Report any breaches of policy or procedure promptly. Shifts run 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs on a 4 days on, 4 days off rolling basis. Rate is £14.23. Food Safety level 2 or above is desirable, with HACCP experience advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Food Safety level 2 or above is desirable
- Experience in quality assurance/quality control/HACCP is advantageous
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- Experience within a similar role and/or a food environment
- Awareness of the importance of food safety
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Computer literate
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Problem solving skills
