Job Summary
Conduct daily operational cleaning of the production line, including rinsing between breaks, squeegeeing product from the floor, and ensuring proper disposal to prevent cross-contamination. Operate compactors and power washers while adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and GMPs. Maintain a clean environment by storing hoses and equipment correctly, ensuring all motors and electrical panels are covered, and following USDA guidelines. Monitor moving machinery for hazards, report malfunctions to the supervisor, and ensure proper PPE usage. Work flexible hours in a factory environment with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications

- Must be able to meet required demands on work/quality to support production line and areas
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Must understand and can demonstrate workable knowledge of chemical usage/cleaning
- Must be able to travel throughout Production areas
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift occasional heavy loads (50 lbs.)
- Must be able to work flexible hours based upon needs of Operation
- Must be able to operate Power Washers for cleaning if required
- Must be able to follow and perform lock out tag out procedures
- Must be able to follow GMPs and adhere to USDA guidelines for food/sanitary guidelines
- Must maintain a clean environment around machinery at all times
- Must ensure GMPs, PPE, and Safety regulations are followed at all times
- Must understand and demonstrate changeover and sanitation requirements
- Must follow all good housekeeping practices, sanitation SOPs and adhere to any USDA guidelines for food/sanitation
- Must adhere to proper operating sanitation procedures for the equipment
- Must understand that chemicals are being used to clean/sanitize, the proper use and storage of chemicals and PPE involved
- Must ensure safety and quality always comes first
- Must not stick/place any parts of the body into any moving part of the equipment
- Must be able to operate Compactors (inedible and corrugated), (understands Hog Farmer, Inedible bin requirements)
- Must be able to operate pallet jack
- Must be able to ensure product on the floor is squeegee/scooped and placed in appropriate disposal bin
- Must ensure drain covers are in place
- Must be required to conduct daily operational cleaning including rinsing of lines between breaks and lunches
- Must ensure the use of water in cleaning will be minimized to control overspray and possible cross contamination
- Must ensure all motors/electrical panels/plugs are properly covered
- Must ensure that equipment is properly disassembled/assembled for cleaning
- Must ensure all parts remain with the equipment and stored properly
- Must ensure all hoses properly stored after use
- Must ensure all sanitation equipment is properly cleaned and stored
- Must report to workstation properly dressed in correct PPE on time

- Understand they will be required to help out on other lines and areas as sanitation activities are required
